The Bissetts are active homeschoolers, and lead a classical educational cooperative, The Arbor, where David teaches formal & informal logic, history and moral philosophy. Dave also loves books & reading, playing golf, studying economics and going camping. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 246 (where his oldest son, Andrew, just earned the rank of Eagle).

CPCCI became the Pastor of Clifton Park Community Church in 1995. CPCC is a non-denominational church in Saratoga county, New York, just north of the capital city of Albany. We adhere to historic, biblical Christianity as embodied in the Protestant Reformation. Thus we are a Bible-centered, evangelical and reformed fellowship of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission at CPCC is to proclaim the unchanging Word of God in a changing world. When we worship, we set our mind’s attention and our heart’s affections on the glory and grace of God. When we attend Sunday school classes, our text is the Bible. When we fellowship, it is with the help of the Holy Spirit. When we share our faith, we tell of the Bible’s marvelous message of grace!

djn and biblePastor Bissett has studied and served under John Piper in Minneapolis, and continues to value and promote his books. He is also active with the New England Reformed Fellowship (“NERF”), and The Banner of Truth magazine & Ministers Conferences. He attends the T4G `08 Conference & the Banner of Truth Minister’s Conferences which really set him on fire for preaching the message of the Cross of Jesus Christ!

Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
  • Who is Thomas Manton?

He was a Puritan pastor, one of those bold, biblical folks living out their Christian faith in a broken world (in the 1600's). His love for and knowledge of the Bible is seen in his sermons and his books (22 volumes of published materials). His three volumes on PSALM 119 [available from the BANNER OF TRUTH TRUST link above] are among my favorites.
