It’s always good to read the book of Proverbs regularly — even daily. I’ve often advised my kids and other believers to read the chapter of Proverbs that corresponds to the number of the day (the 6th chapter on the 6th of the month, etc).
Without regular visits to this part of God’s Word, you may forget some important things — such as the list of things God hates in Proverbs six:
16 There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.
If God really hates these things, I (for one) don’t want to forget that!
